The Wood Elves are seldom seen outside their forests and glens, unless of course they’re playing an away game! Physically, they are very similar to their cousins, the High Elves, but have replaced arrogance and haughtiness with a deep and abiding love of nature and the forests.

I believe there should be others out there better suited than me to write this article as I haven’t been playing Woodies for long, but as none has stepped forward to do it I have decided to be the one.

I started a Wood elf team mainly for aesthetical reasons: I really loved the quality of the 2nd ed. minis sculpted by Jess Goodwin, but also because the tactics that apply to them are totally different from the ones that apply to my all time team: the Undead. It was thus a refreshing change.

Wood-Elves

Wood Elves are without doubt the finest ball-players of Blood Bowl, with unmatched ability in scoring touchdowns. However, they are a fragile bunch, and are expensive to replace – many a Wood Elf team has retired before it even got going. Wood Elves, when coached well, are very hard to stop, and their fearless Leaping Wardancers are fearsome ball-winners too; however, in the hands of a novice coach, they often get crushed beyond hope of recovery. Wood Elves play a lightning fast offensive game, scoring in two turns as often as possible; drives that take longer are bad for their health.
